Noam Bargil
About
Noam Bargil is a trumpeter and composer with both Middle Eastern and European roots, based in Amsterdam. His sound is lyrical, rhythmically nuanced, and rooted in storytelling—drawing from jazz tradition while looking forward.
Over the past years, Noam has become a familiar voice in the Amsterdam music scene, performing as a sideman in a wide range of projects. He’s played at venues like Paradiso, Melkweg, Tolhuistuin, Thuishaven, and even appeared as a guest soloist on Dam Square.
Now, he brings his own voice to the front. Inspired by Middle Eastern trumpeters like Ibrahim Maalouf, Itamar Borochov, and Avishai Cohen, as well as jazz icons such as Roy Hargrove, Lee Morgan, and Kenny Dorham, Noam blends melodic depth with fiery improvisation.
In autumn 2026, Noam takes his music on the road for an album release tour, from Rotterdam to Amsterdam.

Noam Bargil Quintet
This live recording from Amsterdam showcases trumpeter and composer Noam Bargil’s original music, brought to life by a powerful ensemble. His compositions blend melodic depth, rhythmic intricacy, and soulful expression—bridging Middle Eastern roots with the urgency of American hard bop. The performance captures the spirit of Bargil’s artistic vision: emotionally charged, rooted in tradition, yet constantly pushing forward. These works will appear—reimagined and refined—on his debut studio album, recorded in Amsterdam in August 2025. Supported by Amarte and Sena, the album reflects Bargil’s evolving voice as an artist, realized through a dynamic, collaborative quintet.
Making the Record
Last September, we spent 2 intense days in the studio bringing this music to life. The result is an 8-track album shaped by the past 7 years of my life.
It carries the loss of my father, the experience of moving to a new country, and the weight of a difficult political landscape. This record feels like the clearest expression of my musical voice so far, and I can’t wait to share it with you at the end of 2026.
